About the Role

As a full stack engineer at Thala Labs, you’ll be an integral part of iterating on Thala’s existing DeFi products while playing a key role in developing new DeFi primitives. We are looking for an experienced smart contract engineer who will be responsible for building new products, while scaling existing infrastructure and solutions.

The role requires comprehensive backend development skills, with a deep understanding of DeFi and blockchain technology. The ideal candidate for this role is a self-starter who takes initiative and ownership over their work, thrives in a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment, and is capable of rapidly adapting to changing needs as necessary.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Develop and deploy scalable Move smart contracts while ensuring performance and security.

• Work closely with frontend engineers to streamline dApp integrations.

• Evaluate Move-lang documentation, smart contract libraries, and other tools within the stack.

• Architect and champion the development of our early-stage products and novel DeFi primitives

What We’re Looking For

• Strong proficiency in Move and Solidity

• A comprehensive understanding of blockchain technology, smart contracts, and DeFi ecosystems.

• Proven experience in developing and optimizing smart contracts in a high stakes production environment.

• Familiarity with full stack development best practices and frameworks.

• Strong ownership, organizational skills, and attention to detail

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, an equivalent field, or relevant practical experience.

Compensation

The base salary range for this remote, full-time position is $150k - $200k. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and typical maximum target for new hire salaries for the position of a candidate based in North America at any level. We hire exceptionally talented professionals with decades of experience in their field. As such, our range may be higher than what is displayed.
